Itinerary

• Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi

  Arrive in the magical capital city of Vietnam. Outside the arrival hall, your guide is looking forward to you.

  After settlement at the hotel, you can walk out to the Old Quarter for glimpsing into local life and then get to La Terrasse in the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi to savor the French art of life blended with elegant Vietnamese touches.

• Day 2: Get Acquainted with Hanoi

  Familiarize yourself with Hanoi's essential sights from Ho Chi Minh's Stilted House, the humble residence of the founding father of modern Vietnam. Facing it is the opulent Presidential Palace built for the French Governor-General of Indochina. Nearby, the historical One Pillar Pagoda makes a lovely backdrop for photography. Move forward to the nearly 1,000-year-old Temple of Literature dedicated to Chinese philosopher Confucius and celebrated as the First National University of Vietnam. You'll see various pavilions, gardens, and statues inside five courtyards, and understand the origins of traditional Vietnamese culture.

  This afternoon, change your tempo to the unusual "Train Street", an active railway track lined with narrow "tube houses" on both sides. A must-do is to sit back with a traditional egg coffee in a little streetside cafe while waiting for the train to pass by. Before heading to your hotel, hop on a cyclo through the labyrinthine backstreets of the vibrant Old Quarter to glimpse into the daily life of Hanoian.

• Day 3: Hanoi, Leisure Day

  Today is at your leisure to enjoy what you like most. A wide array of activities is strolling around the stunning Hoan Kiem Lake, enjoying a brilliant theater performance of traditional water puppetry, or venturing into the serene countryside on the back of a vintage Vespa.

• Day 7: Old Town of Hoi An & Bamboo Raft Dinner at Dusk

  Follow your guide to spot the old charms of Hoi An - the Japanese Bridge, Chinese Temple, and the traditional Vietnamese house. At noon, enjoy a quality lunch at the elegant Cargo Club with a terrace providing lovely views of the old town.

  Late afternoon, step into one of the area's iconic basket boats for a short voyage on Co Co River and relish in the peaceful scenes along the river banks. In a few minutes, you will get on a bamboo raft, sitting back and enjoying a candlelit dinner featuring local specialty dishes with butlers and staff to serve your every need.

  Hoi An is loaded with lavish shopping areas, restaurants, spas, and diverse activities for every age group. Today is for you to enjoy what you like most.

  You may custom a Vietnamese national garment - áo dai, which perfectly displays the attractive curves of women, making them more agile and elegant. Take a private cooking class in which you can learn to cook your favorite Vietnamese dishes. Or ride a bicycle through pastoral country and farmlands. You can stop at a village for a hands-on experience of the farmer's life by helping water crops, plant rice, and even drive a water buffalo. Share a meal with a local family and enjoy the garden-fresh vegetables and herbs.

• Day 9: Hoi An - Danang - Ho Chi Minh City

  Leave the graceful and historic Hoi An behind and travel onward by flight to the dazzling metropolis - Ho Chi Minh City.

  After hotel check-in and freshening up, head out with your significant special to explore Old Saigon soaked in French colonial elegance. Major sights include the Opera House, City Hall, and Old Saigon Post Office.

  This evening, climb on the back of a vintage Vespa scooter to experience a truly local night out. As you whisk away various districts of the city, browse a range of city highlights, discover authentic dining spots, and have fun in social hangout locations.

• Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta

  This morning, depart for the exotic and bustling Mekong Delta. An authentic private cruise on a traditional Indochinese houseboat, fully equipped with modern comforts, will take you to meander through winding waterways past floating villages, rice fields, and fruit orchards. En route, stop at various points, and you can disembark for guide excursions to visit a brick factory, temple, market, and ancient house.   From Can Tho, you will fly to Phu Quoc Island, where white sands and tropical waters will peak your sweet holiday.
