Odynovo's Year-End Review: What We've Achieved in 2019

2019 has been an extraordinary, exciting year for Odynovo. Over the past year, the Odynovo team has earned many amazing awards and qualifications, opened offices in Australia and Thailand, taken our guests to 52 destinations around the world, and held a successful annual meeting with local suppliers. As 2020 is coming closer, we take a look back on what we have achieved in 2019. 

We've won more awards

In 2019, Odynovo was chosen by over 1,5000 travelers to arrange their wonderful trips to many amazing destinations across the world. 98% of them were satisfied with our service and left wonderful reviews on the Internet. The trust and recognition from our guests is a testament to the outstanding service we deliver and makes us the winner of many amazing awards.

1) "Certificate of Excellence", "Hall of Fame" and "Traveler's Choice" awarded by TripAdvisor - the World's largest travel site.

Certificate of Excellence

With 1,400+ new customer reviews and an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars, Odynovo won the Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor in May this year, which marked the 8^th consecutive year it has been awarded the certificate. 12 of Odynovo's business listing pages (including those of its sub-brands: China Odyssey Tours, Indochina Odyssey Tours, and India Odyssey Tours) were honored in the certificate: Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai, Guilin, Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Hoi An, Bangkok, Siem Reap, Delhi, Kathmandu, and Cairo.

In addition to the Certificate of Excellence, Odynovo was proud to enter the TripAdvisor's Hall of Fame, which is only awarded to businesses that have received a Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years.

Traveler's Choice

We were also so excited that Odynovo's sub-brand China Odyssey Tours was granted "TripAdvisor's 2019 Travelers' Choice award". According to TripAdvisor, the Travelers' Choice award only honors the best of the best in travel as it is based on millions of opinions and reviews of travelers and is the highest honor it can give.

2) Booking Services Award by ProductReview.com.au – Australia's largest consumer review site

This year, out of more than 75,000 eligible nominations, ProductReview.com.au only selected 152 products & services across over 82 categories as winners of the ProductReview Awards for 2020. Among all the 274 travel companies, Odynovo was the only one that won the booking service award with a 5-star rating for the third year running.

3) Gold Trusted Service Award by Feefo – The United Kingdom's largest review site

In February, 2019, Feefo announced winners of its Gold Trusted Service Awards and Odynovo was on the list, as the only winner with a rating of 5.0 out of 5 stars. Every year Feefo honors its highest performing customers with the Trusted Service Awards. Only the best of the best businesses, who've shown outstanding levels of quality and customer service in the past year, will qualify for the award.

4) "China's Leading Tour Operator" and "Asia's Leading Tour Operator" by World Travel Awards – "Oscars of the travel industry"

In 2019, Odynovo was also honored as "China's Leading Tour Operator 2019" and nominated as "Asia's Leading Tour Operator 2019" by World Travel Awards. Regarded as the travel industry's most prestigious awards and called the "Oscars of the travel Industry", World Travel Awards rewards excellent businesses across the global tourism and travel industry every year. Winners are selected by travel industry professionals and global consumers alike, based on a year-long online poll.

We've opened offices in Australia and Thailand

Australia office

In a world where online communication is incredibly convenient, Odynovo believes talking to people in person remains important. In February, we opened an office in Sydney, Australia. This has made it more convenient for face to face communication between Odynovo staff and its clients. Since opening, many guests have visited our Sydney office and shared their trip ideas with us, which let us better understand their needs to create the trips of their dreams. In the future, Odynovo hopes to establish offices in more of its customer source countries, providing more convenient and higher-quality travel services to its guests.

Thailand office

In January, Odynovo set up an office in Bangkok, Thailand's capital, with the purpose of uncovering more beautiful, interesting places in Thailand and offering more unique and enriching experiences to our clients.

It's always been our dream to take our clients to see every country in the world. Until 2019, we have taken clients to 52 countries in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and South America. Among them, Cuba, Uganda, Croatia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Lebanon were explored for the first time by Odynovo travelers. We've taken 40+ inspection trips

To obtain first-hand knowledge and check our ground service in different destinations, Odynovo travel specialists took 40+ inspection trips in 2019 to China, Egypt, Thailand, India, Vietnam, etc. The local knowledge they brought back has helped us create new itineraries and optimize the old ones; and by inspecting local services, we could spot problems and find out ways to solve them by communicating with our local suppliers.

We've gained more qualifications

In 2019, Odynovo was honored to be an official member of United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA), Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) and AFTA Travel Accreditation Scheme (ATAS), and World Tourism Alliance (WTA). All three are the most important tourism associations in America, Australia and China. Becoming a member of them gives Odynovo a chance to better meet the standards in the industry and encourages more potential customers to travel with Odynovo.

We've got more business types

This year, Odynovo established partnerships with Covermore, Australia's largest independent travel insurance provider, and Air Tickets, Australia's leading airfare distribution and ticketing services provider. That means our Australian guests don't have to buy their travel insurance and air tickets themselves anymore. We can help them book almost everything from air tickets to land tours and travel insurance so that they can enjoy hassle-free vacations from start to finish.

We successfully held the annual meeting with local suppliers

In 2019, Odynovo hosted our annual conference with worldwide partners. A total of 72 local service suppliers from more than 30 countries took part. At the meeting, Odynovo and its service suppliers had in-depth discussions on the past year's major cooperation problems and ways to enhance ground service. By sharing and discussing actual cases of tour groups, all our suppliers have deepened their understanding of Odynovo's strict service standards, in the hope of providing the best travel experiences for our guests in the future.

Looking ahead

Having achieved so many extraordinary things in 2019 is a source of pride for the Odynovo Team.
