Day 4: Tiberias - Yardenit - Beit She'an - Jerusalem
Begin the day at Yardenit, the famous baptismal site where John the Baptist baptized Jesus in the Jordan River. The administration of the site provides baptismal robes for a fee, as well as changing rooms and stairways to walk down into the waters. Later, take a one-hour drive to Beit She'an, once a large city in the Roman-Byzantine Empire. The splendor of this ancient Roman city can still be felt from the ruins of the theater, street of tall columns, bathhouses, and other structures that survived the massive earthquake in 749 AD. Continue to Tel Jezreel and walk along the Biblical trail, taking in the natural surroundings and exploring the archaeological remains of the ancient city. After that, proceed to your Jerusalem hotel to rest.
