About This Trip
This 12-day itinerary will show you the best of Brazil. Starting in Rio de Janeiro, you'll see Christ the Redeemer sitting atop Corcovado Hill and overlooking the city. Spend three nights in Manaus, where you can explore the Monkey Jungle, go deep into the Amazon rainforest, visit local Amazonian residents, and see the quiet spectacular Meeting of Waters. Fly to Foz do Iguacu to take in the magnificent view of the Iguazu Falls before taking a jeep tour through the Tijuca Forest. Finally, go back to Rio de Janeiro and enjoy some leisure time.

Day 1: Arrival, Rio de Janeiro
Welcome to Rio, the Marvelous City!
Meet your private driver on arrival and then take a private van to your hotel. After check-in, you may just rest at the hotel or walk out to get a taste of this passionate city.

Day 2: Rio de Janeiro Panorama
Start today's tour from the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain with breathtaking rides by cable to the top for sweeping views of the city, including Guanabara Bay, Corcovado Hill and the world-famous Copacabana Beach.
Next, proceed to the foot of the Corcovado Hill with a scenic drive along the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and hop on a train heading to the summit to marvel at the statue of Christ the Redeemer and check out the views from his angle.
At night, enjoy a thrilling Samba Show and a traditional Brazilian dinner.

Day 3: Rio de Janeiro - Manaus
This morning, you'll take a flight to Manaus, a city in the Amazon rainforest. Upon arrival, meet your driver and transfer to your lodge for checking-in. Enjoy a welcome juice at the reception desk, and then find your comfortable room with the guidance of the staff. After a short break, set off for the Monkey Jungle Reserve where you'll meet different species of monkeys, including squirrel monkey, spider monkey, woolly monkey and a capuchin monkey. Most of them were rescued from illegal traders or flood-stricken areas in Brazil. After dinner at the lodge, you'll be guided to spot alligators on a canoe.

Day 4: Manaus, Amazon Rainforest & Residents
Take a Nature Hike in the rainforest this morning. Your experienced guide will tell you where to spot the rich flora and fauna and teach you some practical survival techniques in the jungle. Return to your lodge for lunch and take a break.
In the afternoon, you will visit the home of caboclos who is the local Amazonian residents mixed Indigenous Brazilian and European ancestry and with copper-colored skin. During this tour, you also get an opportunity for piranha fishing.

Day 5: Manaus, Meeting of the Waters
Meeting of the Waters is a natural wonder where the Rio Negro and the Amazon River join together, however, the black water of the former and the sandy-colored water of the latter run abreast for miles without mixing. This morning, you will be escorted to witness this incredible phenomenon. In the afternoon, you can take an optional canoe ride for piranha fishing again. By the early evening, return to your lodge for dinner and spend the last night in the jungle.

Day 6: Manaus - Foz do Iguacu
Take some free time to enjoy the natural pools before checking out at 11:30 am when your driver will transfer you to Manaus airport. You will fly to San Paulo first and then connect another flight to Foz do Iguacu. On arrival, meet your driver and get to your hotel.

Day 7: Iguazu Falls & Macuco Safari
Today, you're to meet the magnificent Iguazu Falls. Drive through the lush subtropical jungle in the park, stroll along the trail descending the canyon, and then you will get the awesome panorama of the Devil's Throat formed by 275 waterfalls lining along 2.7 km wide horseshoe-shaped gorge.
Later on, take the glass elevator up the cliff face and get a maximized vista from the upper deck, and then go on a 2-kilometer Macuco Safari by open wagon to observe various birds, animals and exotic vegetation in the jungle. After the safari, walk to the margin of the Iguacu River and get on a motorboat which will take you to the falls as close as possible.
Wrap up the day with a visit to a Bird Park, where you'll meet more birds of different species. Some of them are native to Brazil and even classified endangered.

Day 8: Foz do Iguacu, Itaipu Dam
On this day, you will visit the Itaipu Dam about 16 km away from the city. The tour is started with a documentary flicking on the saga of the biggest hydroelectric dam in the world. Next, get on a bus to visit the external part of the dam. There will be a stopover right in the front of the spillway and another over the upper part of the dam. Return to your hotel after the tour and have some leisure time on your own.
In the evening, enjoy the dinner at an international restaurant with a musical performance that showcases various traditional folkloric dance of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.

Day 9: Foz do Iguacu - Rio de Janeiro
You will be free until a private transfer takes you to the airport for the flight to Rio. Upon arrival, meet your driver and transfer to your hotel.

Day 10: Tijuca Atlantic Forest
Today, you will take a join-in jeep tour to the stunning Tijuca Atlantic Forest, the largest urban forest in the world. A stop at the Chinese Lookout will be provided for you to relish the magnificent views of Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, Guanabara Bay and Sugar Loaf. On the tour, you may meet some tropical animals such as monkeys, sloths and exotic birds. After the tour, drive back to the hotel with a stopover at the Pepino Beach to watch the hang gliders fly through the air.

Day 11: Rio de Janeiro, Free Day
Enjoy a free day at leisure.
There are many ways to maximize your time in Rio. You may want to visit some museums, stroll along alleys, or just simply find a seat in a café and drink a cup of coffee, have conversations with locals.
