During this 10-day adventure, traverse the majestic Himalayas by road from China to Nepal to delve into the most coveted Tibetan destinations and Nepal's capital - Kathmandu. Commencing from the sacred city of Lhasa, explore Yamdrok Lake, Karola Glacier, Gyantse, and Shigatse, and overnight at Everest Base Camp before descending to Kathmandu Valley, the spiritual heart of Nepal.

Day 1: Arrival, Lhasa
Upon landing in Lhasa, you'll receive a warm greeting, presented with a traditional white Tibetan shawl called "Khata," from your friendly guide and driver. A swift transfer (about one hour) via expressway will transport you to your downtown hotel. The rest of today is at your leisure to adapt to the high altitude (3,650 meters) and rest up for the plateau journey ahead.

Day 2: Lhasa, Drepung Monastery & Sera Monastery
Experience the spiritual heart of Lhasa on this captivating one-day tour. The first stop is the remarkable Drepung Monastery, one of the largest monastic institutions in Tibet, where ancient halls echo with the chants of monks. Explore the intricate architecture and delve into Tibetan Buddhist traditions. Then, venture to Sera Monastery, renowned for its lively Buddhist debates, where monks engage in spirited discussions about philosophy.

Day 3: Lhasa, Potala Palace
Today is a big day of exploring many of the great landmarks in Lhasa. The majestic Potala Palace, comprised of White and Red Palaces on Red Mountain, is celebrated as the world's highest palace rising over 300 meters in the center of Lhasa Valley. Led by your knowledgeable guide, admire immense religious and administrative buildings to delve into the palace's central role in Tibet.
Jokhang Temple, housing the revered 12-year-old Shakyamuni statue, remains Tibet's holiest site. Join pilgrims along Barkhor Street to immerse in the city's essence before relishing Tibetan social culture insights at a local teahouse.

Day 4: Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse
Following breakfast, set off to Shigatse, Tibet's second-largest city. The scenic journey, lasting around 7 to 8 hours (covering 340 kilometers), promises endless natural wonders, including the Yamdrok Lake and the Karola Glacier. Delight in a picturesque 20-kilometer lakeside drive, pausing at a village for an immersive experience with lakeside farmers, followed by a farmhouse lunch. Afterward, venture for an hour to witness the magnificent Karola Glacier, resembling a frozen waterfall cascading over the roadside. Continue the journey, passing Lake Manla and Gyantse's ancient town, before reaching Shigatse.

Day 5: Shigatse - Tingri - Everest Base Camp
Your memorable journey to Mount Everest starts with a 6.5-hour drive covering 330 kilometers. En route, stop at various viewpoints for glimpses of the Mount Everest. The first one is at Dingri, after about 4 hours. Proceed into the Everest scenic area, marveling at the Himalayan range from Gawula Pass. Traverse a dedicated road to Everest, the mountain looming larger until reaching the northern face base camp. Arrive before sunset to witness the breathtaking sight of the Earth's highest peak bathed in golden hues.

Day 6: Everest Base Camp - Tingri - Gyirong (Kyirong)
Experience a breathtaking sunrise over Mount Everest, weather permitting, or wander near Everest Base Camp to relish the tranquil morning atmosphere. Next, explore Rongbuk Monastery, the world's highest temple, famous for its appearance in the movie "2012." Capture Everest's natural and cultural splendor here.
Departing Everest, journey to Gyirong in Tibet. En route, encounter the majestic Himalayan peak, Shishapangma, and the picturesque Peiku Tso Lake. Cross the 5,200-meter Kongtang La Pass as the altitude gradually descends through Himalayan canyons, culminating in the border town of Gyirong.

Day 7: Gyirong (Kyirong) - Kathmandu
Capture a memorable moment beneath the grand Chinese border gate before bidding farewell. Crossing the impressive Sino-Nepal Friendship Bridge spanning the canyon, you'll be greeted by our Nepali team at the border. A private transfer afterward will take you to your hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 8: Kathmandu - Patan - Kathmandu
Start your day exploring the vibrant Ason Tole Vegetable and Spice Market, immersing in the lively local culture. Then, head to Kathmandu Durbar Square, where the renowned Kumari Temple, home to the living Goddess, awaits alongside the majestic Taleju Temple and Kala Bhairav.
In the afternoon, venture to Patan city to explore its Durbar Square, one of three in the region. Conclude your day with a visit to Swayambhunath, a hilltop stupa offering breathtaking views of the Kathmandu Valley, perfect for soaking in the serene evening ambiance.

Today, your spiritual journey through Nepal's cultural treasures starts with an insightful visit to the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, a revered Hindu site on the banks of the Bagmati River. Next, immerse yourself in the tranquil ambiance of the majestic Boudhanath Stupa. Conclude your tour at the Changu Narayan Temple, the oldest in the Kathmandu Valley, well-known fo intricate wooden carvings and pagoda-style architecture.
