The climate in Phu Quoc is tropical and separated into two different seasons: wet season and dry season. It is warm and sunny almost all year round.
Generally speaking, the best time to visit Phu Quoc island is during the dry season. From November to April is the dry season, and the driest month is from January to March. The temperature ranges from 25°C to 35°C. It is the best time to enjoy outdoor activities and explore the island.
The wet season starts from May to October, and the wettest is from July to September. The temperature ranges from 26°C to 30°C, still warm but not as hot as the dry season. What I have to say is that the rainy season in Vietnam is not what you recognized before. There are often short showers that come fast and leave quickly. And it is a perfect time to explore the natural rainforest on this island for it is the time plants flourish.
How Many Days Is Enough for Phu Quoc Island
The answer can be different due to your plan for your Vietnam tour.
For those who want to travel to Vietnam and add Phu Quoc as one of the destinations, 2 to 3 days might be appropriate. Normally we recommend you stay on this island for at least 2 days to fully relax and have enough time to enjoy a beautiful sunset on the beach. However, to explore Phu Quoc more deeply and enjoy more exciting events, you can extend your stay on the island due to your own interests.

Visit Dinh Cau Phu Quoc

During the 15th and 16th day of the 10th lunar month, the Phu Quoc Dinh Cau Festival will be held here. It is a local festival. Phu Quoc people pray for good harvests during the festival. Basically Duong Dong Town (located on the western side of Phu Quoc) is the best choice for first-timers. It is the most bustling and central area on the island. It is the main town of Phu Quoc island and many locals live here. By Air
Flying to Phu Quoc is the most common way to visit, it is affordable and convenient. There are many direct flights from international countries and major cities in Vietnam to Phu Quoc International Airport (PQC), including international flights from Thailand, China, South Korea, and Malaysia, domestic flights from Hanoi Noi Bai Airport, Ho Chi Minh City Airport, and Danang International Airport.
By Ferry
On the Vietnam coast, regular ferries from Ha Tien or Rach Gia run every day. It takes 1.5 hours from Ha Tien to Phu Quoc, and the cost is around 216,000 to 330,000 Vietnamese Dong (7 to 12 USD). From Rach Gia to Phu Quoc takes about 2.5 hours, and the price is from 260,000 to 400,000 Vietnamese Dong (9-15 USD).
