Evening Vespa Food Tour of Ho Chi Minh City Center

Saigon, also known as Ho Chi Ming City today, is located in southern Vietnam and is the commercial center of Vietnam. I have been to this city several times. This time when I took a vintage Vespa, a symbol of Saigon's past, running through the city center after dark, stopping by some local restaurants and bars for some of the most well-known delicacies, I really met the real Saigon. I believe a night vespa tour is the best way to truly become a part of the city and do as the locals do.

Have you ever thought about how this city looks when the sun goes down? I will show you a different, more exciting side of Ho Chi Minh City and every detail of my night adventure. You'll find Ho Chi Minh City offers more than just the Ho Chi Minh City Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, the Independence Palace, and the Cu Chi Tunnels.

2-Week Vietnam Food Tour

This tour began at 6:00 p.m., and I was met in the hotel lobby by a guide and driver. A tour briefing was given before we set off. Totally this tour has five stops and provides night city views and foodie experiences of street food for travelers.

The first stop was at a bar with a spectacular view of the Ho Chi Minh City skyline, located high above the city. With a tall cocktail in hand, I took a table facing the Bitexco Financial Tower, the tallest structure in Ho Chi Minh City and the second-tallest in Vietnam. My tour guide sat down next to me, and we discussed Ho Chi Minh City's history. She's a very informative and passionate speaker, and I learned a lot from her about this lovely city.

The following two stops were at different local eateries, each of which specialized in either seafood or pancakes. Both of these eateries are highly regarded by TripAdvisor users and regulars in the area. The seafood had a distinct Thai flavor, which I enjoyed, and the pancake was very reminiscent of Vietnamese cuisine. I tried rolling the pancake with the herbs and beef with the help of my guide. They taste fine as well.

And it's not the food that matters most, but rather the people sitting around. They were either fellow workers who had just finished their shift or families with young children, or foreign tourists like myself. However, the food brought us together, and we discussed not only the food but also the way of life among the locals. There is no other way like this where you can eat, talk, and have a good time without any hassle.

The last two stops, however, gave me a chance to experience Ho Chi Minh City's vibrant nightlife. I was given a cup of Vietnamese coffee when I first arrived at a café with live music. The owner prefers music over loud conversation from the clients. Simply enjoy the songs in French and Vietnamese while listening to the good voice. Your inner beast would be unleashed at the final destination, a music bar, after this serene tour. For both natives and visitors, it felt like a huge party. In response to the energizing tunes, revelers dance and awe in unison. I'm not usually the type to jump up and join a dance party, but everyone there made me want to break out in song and dance.

In addition to these activities, the tour provided a fantastic night view of the city's most famous landmarks, such as the Independence Palace and the Pink Church, as they lit up in the darkness between each stop. The strange but friendly locals, the pleasant feel of the breeze on the cheeks, and the aroma of freshly cooked street food all make this tour unforgettable. Ho Chi Minh City didn't sleep, and neither did I.

This could be one of the best tours in Ho Chi Minh City, so if you ever get the chance to visit, don't miss it!
