About This Trip
This 12-day trip will show you the best of Peru and Ecuador. You'll visit some Inca archeological sites like Machu Picchu, Huaca Huallamarca, Sacsayhuaman, Pisac, and Ollantaytambo. Learn about the unique culture and history when walking through the streets of Lima, Cusco, and Quito. You can also enjoy a cruise around Galapagos Islands and choose some activities per your interest to rich your Island holiday.

Day 1: Arrival, Lima
Welcome to Lima, the capital of Peru! Our representative will hold an Odynovo sign with your name on it waiting for you just outside Customs. So, you will be met after your arrival, and then be transferred to your hotel in Miraflores District. After checking in, you can simply relax in your room, or step out to try famous Peruvian cuisine.
Optional: You can choose to take a join-in Lima culinary group tour (afternoon session time: 4:30 pm - 9:30 pm) if you are interested in Peruvian cuisine.

Day 2: Lima, City Sightseeing
This morning, you will be taken by your private guide and driver to the downtown area for sightseeing. Walk through Lima's Main Plazas (Plaza Mayor), which is considered the birthplace and heart of old Lima and features several significant architectural monuments and buildings including the Government Palace. Then visit the Monastery of San Francisco (Convento de San Francisco) and the Catacombs built under it. Continue the tour to San Isidro District, a major financial quarter of Lima and home to a few museums and cultural heritage. In the heart of this area, you will find the Huaca Huallamarca, a pre-Columbian pyramid and an important archaeological complex. Finally, you will return to Miraflores District, en route you will have a great view of the Pacific Ocean when passing by the Park of Love and Larcomar Shopping Center.
The rest of the day is available for you to explore Lima on your own.
Note: The Huaca Huallamarca is closed on Mondays.

Day 3: Lima - Cusco, Cusco City Tour
After having breakfast in the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, be met and escorted to your hotel for check-in.
In the afternoon, take a Cusco city tour to explore this fascinating city, which was once the capital of the Inca Empire and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will visit the site of Coricancha, the most important temple in the Inca Empire. Continue by visiting the Cusco Cathedral, a major repository of Cusco's colonial art and archeological artifacts and relics. Finally, learn more about the Incan empire at the Incan citadel of Sacsayhuaman.

Day 4: Cusco - Sacred Valley - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes
This morning, start a private tour around the Sacred Valley. First, visit the Pisac Archaeological Park to admire many different Incan structures built between the 10th and 11th centuries AD. Later, stop at the colorful and bustling Pisac Market to discover plenty of hand-made traditional crafts. Finally, visit Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo to explore this wonderful example of Incan architecture and ingenuity.
After that, take a train to Aguas Calientes (your guide will not go with you for the train ride). Upon arrival, you will be escorted by our local representative to your hotel.

Day 5: Aguas Calientes - Cusco, Machu Picchu Exploration
This morning, take a shuttle bus (30 minutes' drive, the bus ticket is included) up to Machu Picchu to visit the ancient Inca city. During the guided tour, you will see mortar-free limestone architecture dating to the mid-1400s and gain a deeper insight into this "Lost City of the Incas".
In the afternoon, take a shuttle bus (the bus ticket is included) back to Aguas Calientes town. After checking out of your hotel, walk about 5 minutes to the train station for your train to Poroy Station in Cusco. Upon arrival, you will be escorted by our representative to the hotel in Cusco.

Day 6: Cusco, Free Day
Today, you will enjoy free time to explore this fascinating city on your own.

Day 7: Cusco - Quito
After breakfast, be escorted to the airport for your flight to Quito (Lima stopover). Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel to check in.

Day 8: Quito, Quito City Tour
After breakfast, walk along the cobblestone streets in the Colonial Center to enjoy colonial-style buildings, and then visit the Middle of the World Monument to learn indigenous Ecuadorian culture.

Day 9: Quito - Galapagos Islands, Galapagos Islands Cruising
After breakfast, be escorted to the airport for your flight to the Galapagos Islands. Upon arrival at the airport in Baltra Island, you will be greeted and escorted by your guide to the pre-selected boat, which will cruise around the Galapagos Islands allowing to admire the breath-taking scenery.
Note: Activities may vary due to your final travel date, weather conditions and/or regulations of the Galapagos National Park.
