Day 1: Lima, Arrival
Bienvenidos! Welcome to Peru. Touchdown at Lima airport, make your own way to the hotel in the Miraflores district and enjoy the rest of today at leisure. As you like, head out to explore your surroundings and savor Peru's renowned cuisine at one of the fine restaurants nearby.

Day 2: Lima, City of Contrasts
After breakfast, set off on a guided exploration of Lima's top attractions. While strolling around the historic downtown, discover the main plazas, admire the Presidential Palace, and delve into the Convent of San Francisco and its eerie Catacombs. Then at the modern district of San Isidro, the remarkably pyramid-shaped Huaca Huallamarca, dating back to pre-Hispanic times, stands out among high-rising residential buildings. You'll find pottery, textiles, and mummies unearthed during excavations on display at the on-site museum. Conclude your tour in Miraflores, taking in the breathtaking Pacific Ocean views at the Park of Love and Larcomar.

Day 3: Lima - Cusco
After breakfast and hotel check-out, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, a private transfer will whisk you to your hotel for check-in. Take a moment to unwind and acclimate to Cusco's altitude of 3,400 meters.
This afternoon, your guide will lead you to first explore the site of Qorikancha, the former Inca Temple of the Sun, now home to a Dominican monastery. A few minutes walking away, the magnificent Cusco Cathedral features an extraordinary collection of Cusquena art. Finally, marvel at the massive stone walls of Sacsaywaman and uncover other significant Incan religious and military sites.

Day 4: Cusco, Kayaking, Cooking and Biking
Morning brings an invigorating session (1.5 hours) of stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) or kayaking. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Cusco's lagoons and the surrounding natural beauty. Around 11:30 am, join an immersive cooking class in Cusco to dive into the vibrant world of Peruvian cuisine. An expert chef will teach you step-by-step techniques for creating traditional dishes using fresh, local ingredients. End the exciting day with a scenic biking tour (1.5 hours) to the small village of Umasbamba, enjoying the stunning landscapes.

Day 5: Cusco - Sacred Valley - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes
This morning, leave Cusco behind as you travel northwest by driving to Ollantaytambo through Sacred Valley. Along the way, do not miss the vibrant Sunday market of Chinchero, famed for its authentic Indian market. The bustling main square, encircled by an impressive 2-meter-tall Inca wall with ten trapezoid niches, comes alive with bartering peasants in colorful, lively garments. Next, explore the ancient agricultural terraces of Moray and the intriguing Inca salt mines at Maras.
After having lunch at a local restaurant, visit the historic town of Ollantaytambo, once fiercely protected by a colossal fortress. Later in the day, embark on a scenic 2-hour train journey departing for Aguas Calientes independently. Upon arrival, hotel staff will warmly greet and escort you to your hotel for check-in.

Day 6: Aguas Calientes - Cusco
At the appointed time, follow your guide from the hotel to line up for a shuttle bus ride (30 minutes) ascending to Machu Picchu, nestled high in the Andes Mountains of Peru. This globally renowned 15th-century "Lost City of the Incas," a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1983, showcases awe-inspiring stone structures, terraced slopes, and panoramic vistas. Your knowledgeable guide will lead you through the main precincts of this ancient Inca citadel, revealing its fascinating history and secrets.
After your own leisurely exploration, return to Aguas Calientes on the shuttle bus, have lunch or drink at a nice café, and collect your belongings from the hotel. There follows a short walk (around 5 minutes) to the railway station for your train ride back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy Station. Upon arrival, your representative will warmly greet you and escort you to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.

Your journey comes to an end today after breakfast. You're free to take a taxi or shuttle bus independently to the airport for your departure flight.
