Day 1: Arrival, Yangon
This is Yangon International Airport, welcome to Myanmar! Your warm and friendly guide will pick you up and take you to your hotel. Please take this opportunity to get some rest before your amazing holiday kicks in the morning.

Day 2: Yangon
Myanmar history is closely related to the Buddhist culture, your first stop in Yangon is the Chaukhtatgyi Buddha Temple, which is famous for a 65-meter-long reclining Buddha. Next destination is the Sule Pagoda, located in the center of the city, which is one of the landmarks of Yangon. Stroll in the Maha Bandula Park where you can see the Independence Monument. Later, wander the streets of India town and Chinatown to experience exotic culture in Myanmar.
Look for some distinctive souvenirs in the Bogyoke Aung San Market (formerly Scott's Market) and then you will proceed to the Shwedagon Pagoda, the most sacred Buddhist pagoda in Myanmar whose golden spire dominates the city skyline. Finally, go sightseeing on Kandawgyi Lake.
Note: Bogyoke Market is closed on Monday.

Day 3: Yangon - Bagan
Take the plane to Bagan in the morning and your Bagan trip will start after arrival. At first, you can experience the daily lives of the local people at the Nyaung U Market. Next, let's head for the Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of all pagodas in Myanmar, which is completed in 1102 AD. Visit the Kyanzittha Umin nearby, a small cave temple with frescoes on the interior corridors. Later, transfer to the Htilominlo Temple which is well-known for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations. After that, you will continue to pay a visit to the Ananda Temple and the Thatbyinnyu Temple.
After lunch, you will visit a traditional lacquer-ware workshop at first, it is a good chance to observe the process of making lacquerware. After that, pay a visit to the Manuha Temple, the Nanpaya Temple and the Gubyaukgyi Temple. The last is the most famous of three and still preserves a large number of old frescos.

Day 4: Bagan - Mount Popa - Bagan
Today you will spend the most of time on visiting Mount Popa, an extinct volcano, which is one of the most prominent pilgrimage sites in Myanmar. Upon cresting the top of Mount Popa, have a break and overlook the beautiful scenery. Next, return to Bagan and visit the Sulamani Temple and the Dhammayangyi Temple.

Day 5: Bagan - Mandalay
In the morning, you will take a plane to Mandalay which is the second-largest city in Myanmar. Upon arrival, you will head for Amarapura, the former capital of Myanmar, and now is a township of Mandalay. Later, visit the Mahagandayon Monastery which is the largest Buddhist monastery in Myanmar accommodating more than 1,000 young monks. Next, visit the City Harbor Bridge and then pay a visit to a nunnery to get to know how nuns live and study in their daily life. After that, proceed to Sagaing Hill to have a panoramic view of this beautiful city. Finally, stroll along the legendary U Bein Bridge and appreciate the sunshine before sunset.

Day 6: Mandalay - Amarapura - Mandalay
Start the day with a boat trip (about 1 hour) across the Ayeyarwaddy River. After that, you will pay a visit to the Mingun Bell, the Mingun Pagoda, the Settawya Pagoda and the Hsinbyume Pagoda nearby. Next, you will return to Mandalay to visit the Mahamuni Pagoda, home to one of the country's most revered Buddha images. Next, you will see the producing process of gold-leaf beating.
In the rest of today, pay a visit to three pagodas near Mandalay Hill: the first is the Shwenandaw Kyaung, the last teak-made Royal Palace surviving to the present day in Mandalay; the second is the Kuthodaw Pagoda, which is described as the world's largest book; the third is the Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, which is known as the pagoda of a Great Marble Image. Finally, enjoy the unique sunset view on Mandalay Hill if the weather is good.

Day 7: Mandalay - Heho - Inle Lake
You will fly to Heho in the morning. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you and take you to the hotel. After taking a break and having a lunch, take a boat trip around Inle Lake to watch one-leg rowers fishing, which means that a fisherman stands on one leg on the extreme of the boat and wraps another leg around the oar. Later, proceed to Nampan Village to view the water gardens. After that, go back to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the time.

Day 8: Inle Lake
Today you will head to Indein Village and explore the Indein Pagoda Complex which is believed to be built in the 12th century by King Ashoka. Pay a visit to the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda which is located on the man-made island that floats on Inle Lake. Later, you will take a side trip to the Nga Phe Chaung Monastery, a beautiful wooden monastery built on stilts around 200 years ago. Finally, if you want to see more about traditional crafts, you can stop for a visit to a hand weaving performance.
Note: The annual grand festival of Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda is held in late Sep. or early Oct.

Day 9: Inle Lake - Heho - Thandwe - Ngapali Beach
Get back to Heho and fly to Thandwe (about 50 minutes). Upon arrival, your guide will take you to the hotel beside Ngapali Beach. Spend the rest of the day on doing anything you want beside the beach.

Today is a free day to enjoy your leisure time at Ngapali Beach. You can do anything you want such as swimming, snorkeling, scuba-diving, enjoying a sunbath or walking along the beach.
