Day 1: Arrival, Ulaanbaatar
Welcome to Mongolia and start your journey in its beloved capital, Ulaanbaatar. Upon arriving at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar. The rest of today is free to relax or explore at your leisure.- Ulaanbaatar

Day 2: Ulaanbaatar
Start your explorations of Ulaanbaatar with a morning visit to the Chinese Tibetan style Gandan Monastery, the seat of Buddhism in Mongolia. Continue to the informative National Museum of Mongolia showcasing the country's history and traditional life. A stroll around the nearby Sukhbaatar Square allows you to spot historical statues, ex-Soviet buildings and sleek modern skyscrapers. Next, climb up to Zaisan Hill for a panoramic view of the city. This evening, you'll be treated to Mongolian traditional dancing and Khoomei (Tuvan throat singing) performances.- B L

Day 3: Ulaanbaatar - Elsen Tasarkhai
After breakfast, a 5-6 hours drive will bring you to the magnificent Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes, also known as Bayan Gobi sand dunes or Mini Gobi. While here, venture out on an excursion into Hugnu Khaan Mountain to discover such a unique area combining rocky mountains, forests, steppes, and sand dunes in one location. Tonight, live like a local and stay in an accommodating ger.- B L D

Day 4: Elsen Tasarkhai - Karakorum
Travel onward today by about 1-2 hours drive to the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire - Karakorum, also called "Kharkhorin" by Mongolians. Focus your exploration on the immense Erdene Zuu monastery, believed to be the earliest surviving Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. You will have the opportunity to watch monks performing their daily rituals and observe the panorama of the endless steppe from the monastery. The next stop is the small yet impressive Karakorum Museum, dedicated to exhibiting artifacts from Mongolian history. Overnight in a ger camp.- B L D

Day 5: Karakorum - Hustai National Park
The next leg of your journey sees you heading into Hustai National Park (about a 5-6 hours drive), known as the native habitat of the rare and endangered Przewalski's horses. Before heading into the park, visit a local center to learn some detailed information about the world's last truly wild horse species and other internationally-important wildlife in the park. You'll go on a hike through the unspoiled wilderness to discover its natural beauty and search for wildlife including red deer, eagles, and of course, wild horses. In the evening, enjoy your leisure time with possible horseback riding. Spend another night in your tent under the stars.- B L D

Day 6: Hustai National Park - Ulaanbaatar
Depart from Hustai National Park in the morning and take a scenic road transfer (about 2-3 hours) back to Ulaanbaatar. This afternoon, pay a visit to the Winter Palace of the Bogd Khan, which now serves as a museum complex housing many fascinating relics, art collections, and regalia. The rest of the day is for you to do some shopping or go around by yourself.- B L
