Best Time in Malaysia: When to Visit

Separated as two independent parts, the east coast and west coast of Malaysia may be in the midst of different weather at the same time. So the best time to visit these two parts is different. March to October is the best time to visit the east coast, while December to March is the best time for the west coast.

For east coast Malaysia (Borneo, Redang, Tioman, etc.), March to October is perfect to enjoy water activities such as diving in Tioman Island, sunbathing at the beach or Perhentians, or planning an island hopping day tour to appreciate the stunning nature landscape. It is also a perfect time to get close to the rainforest.

December to March are the best times to visit West Coast cities. Explore cities with rich history and culture, and leave for an excursion to the highlands. It is time to visit the tea plantation to experience tea picking and see the mountains covered by clouds and mists.
