About This Trip
This 10-day vacation will take you deep into Laos. Your first stop will be Luang Prabang, which is famous for its early morning alms giving rituals and the Kuang Si Waterfalls. The next stop will be Xieng Khouang, a great place known for the local lifestyle of hill tribal villages in Laos. Move on to Vientiane, and you will be amazed by That Luang Stupa. Head for Pakse to explore some local villages and Ruins of Wat Phu here. Your vacation will end with a sail around Khong Island and a visit to Khone Falls.

Day 1: Arrival, Luang Prabang
After arriving at Luang Prabang Airport, you will meet your guide and be taken to the hotel. After a short break, we will leave for the Mt. Phousi where you can overlook the whole city and the Mekong River at sunset. Later, filling yourself with local food and drink at the night market.

Day 2: Luang Prabang
In order to have a better understanding of local people's piety to their religious belief, we strongly recommend that you get up earlier to watch the morning alms giving ritual which is starting from 5:30 am. Later, we will pay a visit to Wat Visoun, Wat Aham and Wat Mai for a temple hopping tour. The Royal Palace Museum is our last destination before the end of the morning, you can see many priceless works of art which are contained here.
After, we will set foot on the road to Ban Na Ouane Village where you can know something about Lao minority groups. Soon afterward, we will arrive at the Kuang Si Waterfalls where you can enjoy the wonderful view of turquoise water. Finally, our trip today will end at Wat Phabath, an important pilgrimage site, which is well known for the huge "footprint" of Lord Buddha.

Day 3: Mekong River Cruise
The theme of trip today is cruising on the Mekong River. The first stop is Ban Xang Hai Village where you can taste the local whisky; the second stop is Ban Xang Khong Village where abounds with the products which are made from silk and the Sea Paper; the third stop is the Pak Ou Caves which have a long history dating back to thousands of years ago, there are thousands of statues of the Buddha inside with different sizes, qualities and materials. Finally, drive back to Luang Prabang and you can enjoy the rest of the day.

Day 4: Luang Prabang - Xieng Khouang
Today, we will drive go to Xieng Khouang. On the way, stop for enjoying any beautiful places or visiting any hill tribal village as your wish.
You will marvel at the Plain of Jars located on the plain next. At first, we will arrive at the Plain of Jars Site 1 where 334 stone jars and fragments of stone jars are scattered on the ground. And then we will explore in a small limestone cave, which is an important ancient site. It is good chance to see how the locals live or take photos with some rice paddy fields and cows around the site.

Day 5: Xieng Khouang
After breakfast, we will experience the local lifestyle by visiting the Central Market. Later, pay a visit to UXO MAG Exhibition Room, Plain of Jars Site 2, villages of Tai Dam people and Lao Leum people and Plain of Jars Site 3, you can learn more about Laotian history in these places and enjoy the picturesque scene.
After having lunch, continue the trip to the old capital of the Muang Khoun and some villages nearby where are home to the Hmong hill tribe and Tai Dam people.

Day 6: Xieng Khouang - Vientiane
Today we will depart for Vientiane by plane. After checking in to the hotel, let's start our visit to the major sights in the capital of Laos.
At first, we will visit two Wats: Wat Sisaket is the oldest wat in Vientiane with many Buddha statues in different styles, shapes and sizes; Wat Prakeo, a wat that is famous for the Emerald Buddha statues.
Later, we will leave for the Patuxay Monument and the That Luang Stupa: the former is known as Vientiane's Arc de Triumph; the latter, also called the Pha That Luang, is the landmark of Laos.

Day 7: Vientiane - Pakse
Fly to Pakse in the early morning. Make a stop at Tateng Village to observe how local people make tea and coffee. Later, we will keep our trip going on the Boloven Plateau Area until arriving at Tad Lo Waterfall located in Saravanh Province. Sit by the water to enjoy the beauty of the scene. After paying a visit to villages of Alak, Nge, Katu, we will return to the town in the later afternoon.

Day 8: Pakse - Khong Island
After breakfast, we will go on a visit to Ruins of Wat Phu, the oldest archaeological site is situated on the mountain. There is still altar for worshipping in such Khmer temples. Later, continue our trip to 4,000 Islands Region and Khong Island, both regions are the good places for getting close to nature and relieving fatigue.

Day 9: Khong Island - Pakse
In the morning, going for sightseeing around the countryside at first and then you will go for a sail around Khong Island and pay a visit to the Liphi Waterfall. Drive further south towards to the Khone Falls from the mainland at Ban Nakasang, a very spectacular waterfall on the Mekong. Return to Pakse in the late afternoon.

Day 10: Pakse, Departure
Feel free to enjoy the last time of this journey in the Laos before transferring to the airport for your flight back home.
