Day 10: Day Trip to Wadi Mujib
This morning a 30-minute transfer takes you to Wadi Mujib for a refreshing half-day hike. From the visitor center by Mujib Bridge, cross over the dam and follow the river through towering sandstone cliffs on the famous Siq Trail. Depending on water levels, the hike involves swimming or wading in pools, perfect on hot days. At the trail's end see Lower Mujib Waterfall where the river plunges into a pool.
An optional detour visits Al-Maghtas, where John baptized Jesus, with recently discovered churches and pools in the valley. Notable sights include the nature reserve, dam walkway, river swimming if conditions allow, and waterfall viewing. End the day leisurely at the Dead Sea as your Jordan experience concludes.
