Gora is a famous hot spring town perched on a hillside. It is a small part of Hakonetown perched on a hillside. Gora gains popularity for many kinds of onsen with different colors and effects. A wide range of hot springs makes the area one of the most enjoyable places to view Mount Fuji, especially during the winter months. The Ropeway is also accessible from Gora, enabling you to ride a cable car to see the scenic views of the Owakudani Valley of Hell and Lake Ashi. Fuji City

For colorful nightlife, you can choose Fuji City as your destination. It is located east of Shizuoka-ken Prefecture, on the coast of Honshu. The city lies just southeast of Mount Fuji and is easily accessible from Tokyo (as a stop on the Shinkansen line from Osaka to Tokyo). You can scale the mountain peak from here and enjoy the summit's sunrise. The city's vibrant nightlife before your climb is unmissable.
