About This Trip
This classic Iceland journey will take you through some of the most dramatic scenery Iceland has to offer. Start and end in Reykjavik, bathe in the milky blue hot springs of Blue Lagoon, then drive to Snæfellsnes Peninsula marvel at the natural wonders, such as Gatklettur, Kirkjufell, etc. Visit the top attractions of the Golden Circle, including Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss and Geysir. Explore south Coast with a Jökulsárlón Lagoon cruise in the summertime or explore an ice cave in the wintertime, and you can walk around the stuning Reynisfjara Black Beach.

Day 1: Arrival, Blue Lagoon - Reykjavík
Welcome to Iceland, the Land of Fire and Ice!
Your driving guide will greet you at Keflavik Airport and take you to the Blue Lagoon, just a 15-minute drive from the airport, for a perfect start to your Iceland vacation. Soak in the breathtaking hot springs with a facial mask to unwind after a long flight, and then proceed to your Reykjavík hotel for the night.

Day 2: Reykjavík - Snæfellsnes Peninsula
Depart for Snæfellsnes Peninsula, known as the epitome of Iceland due to its diverse landscape. Walk along the seaside from Arnarstapi to admire the lava formations. Don't miss Gatklettur, a naturally formed circular stone arch on the coastline. Continue to the Lóndrangar basalt cliffs for its abundant birdlife, then Djúpalónssandur, an arched-shaped bay with dark cliffs and black sand. Finish the day with a beautiful photo shoot at Kirkjufell with a small waterfall trickling down in front.
Overnight in Snæfellsnes Peninsula.

Day 3: Snæfellsnes Peninsula - Golden Circle - Selfoss
Today, you will visit the famous Golden Circle, one of the must-sees in the country. The Thingvellir National Park, your first stop on the Golden Circle, is the seat of the Althing, one of the first parliaments in the world, and the location of the tectonic boundary between the North American and Eurasian plates. Next is Gullfoss, a stunning waterfall with two cascades. While in the Geysir area, you will be able to walk among the bubbling hot springs and witness the powerful Strokkur spouting boiling water up 20 to 40 meters high every five to ten minutes.
After the tour, proceed to your Selfoss hotel to relax.

Day 4: Selfoss - Hnappavellir
Depart for Hnappavellir via South Coast today.
Along the way, visit the captivating waterfall of Seljalandsfoss, where you can walk behind the water curtain on an easily accessible path and admire it from the inside. Not far away is another stunning waterfall, Skogafoss, where rainbows, single or double, can be seen on sunny days. Stop for a break and lunch while passing through the small village of Vik. The Reynisfjara Black Beach behind the village is worth a stroll. Gigantic basalts stack on the vast black sand alongside roaring Atlantic waves, making it one of the world's best beaches to visit.
Check into the hotel and get some rest upon arrival.

Day 5: Hnappavellir - Jökulsárlón - Vík
Today is all about Jökulsárlón, a magnificent glacier lagoon on Iceland's South Coast. From May to October, you can take a hike in the Skaftafell, an easily accessible area of Vatnajökull National Park, and board an amphibious boat for a 45-minute cruise on the Jökulsárlón Lagoon to get a close-up look at the massive icebergs. While in winter (Nov - Apr), a 3.5-hour ice cave exploration will take place, so you can wear the necessary safety equipment and venture into the fantastic world hidden behind the crystal blue, naturally-occurring cave. Diamond Beach with gleaming ice patches dotting the black sand, is always the last stop for you to relax and photograph.
Return to Vík for the night after the tour.

Day 6: Vík - South Coast - Reykjavík
After breakfast, visit the Dyrhólaey Arch located on the south coast of Iceland next to the Reynisfjara, where you can take in the great views of the black sand beaches, puffins, and other seabirds.
Later, return to Reykjavík for a quick city tour (about 3 hours). Admire the major landmarks of the city, such as Hallgrímur Church in the shape of an organ, the Hofdi House (no entry), the Perlan (excluding entrance tickets), and the Harpa Concert Hall.

Day 7: Reykjavík, Departure
Enjoy some time relaxing in the hotel or exploring Reykjavík further at your own pace. Your driving guide will pick you up at the appointed time and escort you to the airport. Board the homebound flight with happy memories.
