Day 1: Arrival, San José
Pura Vida! Upon your arrival in San Jose, our representative will greet you and provide you with all the necessary documents that you will need during your vacation. Later, take private transportation to get to your hotel for check-in.

Day 2: San José - Tortuguero
Depart for Tortuguero early in the morning. On the way, you will pass through the central volcanic mountain range and the North Caribbean Plains and then stop at a local dock. Later, transfer into a boat and then ride about 1.5 hours along the canals sheltered in the jungle of the rain forest to reach your lodge in the Tortuguero area. The views of beautiful waterfalls, lush forests, rural villages with lovely banana fields, and unique wildlife along the canals would put you in a good mood.
After check-in and lunch, you could spend the afternoon roaming around the village of Tortuguero and getting a glimpse of the locals' daily life.

Day 3: Tortuguero, Tortuguero National Park
Enjoy your day away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Covering mangroves, rainforests, beaches, and rivers, Tortuguero National Park will give you a unique and unforgettable natural adventure. Following your expert guide, you could easily meet some crustaceans, hundreds of birds, and several mammals such as capuchin monkeys.

Day 4: Tortuguero - La Fortuna
This morning hop on a boat back to the dock and then continue by road to the town of Guaplies for lunch. After a short break, private transportation will bring you passing through the northern plains of Costa Rica to the town of La Fortuna. Check into your hotel and the rest of the day is free at leisure. If the weather is very good, you will have a chance to see the impressive Arenal Volcano with its perfect volcanic cone in the distance.

Day 5: La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano & Hot Springs
Although it's forbidden to climb up to the top of Arenal Volcano, a half-day hanging bridge walking tour could give you a great way to appreciate the magnificent views of the volcano and its surrounding area. Moreover, the hanging bridges built high off the ground and stretched deeper into the rainforest will also let you observe wildlife from a unique angle. Spend the afternoon at nearby Tabacon Hot Springs. The waters of hot springs come from the natural geothermal river and the surrounding is exuberant gardens. What could be better than relaxing in the hot springs like this after a natural adventure in the forest?

Day 6: La Fortuna - Rincon de la Vieja
Head toward Rincon de la Vieja after breakfast via private transportation. Looking out of the window on the road, you will see the panoramic Arenal Lake, the Tenorio and Miravalles volcanoes in the distance, and open fields of dry grass picked with cattle. Settle in after arrival in your hotel and then enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7: Rincon de la Vieja, Free Day
Today is free for you to discover this area on your own. You could relax in the hotel with its facilities or go out for some optional activities like a visit to Rincon de la Vieja National Park, where you can see some geothermal phenomena such as the bubbling mud pools and sulfur fumaroles.

Day 8: Rincon de la Vieja - Monteverde
Take private transportation and continue your trip to departing for Monteverde, where is famous for its cloud forest. Day 15: Corcovado, Del Cano Island Biological Reserve
The destination today, Del Cano Island Biological Reserve, is located just 12 nautical miles off the coastline in front of Corcovado National Park. The only way to get to the reserve is by boat, which usually takes about 50 minutes. During the exploration, you will have a chance not only to observe the stone spheres made by the first civilizations that inhabited the area but also to see a fantastic marine world existing in the coral reefs under the water.
