• Day 1: Arrive in San José

  Welcome to San Jose, the capital and largest city of Costa Rica! Upon your arrival, our representative will greet you and provide you with all the documents you will need during the trip.

  Then, you will be transferred to a well-chosen hotel that is considered as an oasis right in the heart of the city retaining its Victorian style. With Spanish tile fountains, small pieces of Costa Rican art, beautiful gardens with tropical flowers, and warmth in the service, it will present you the Costa Rican hospitality since your arrival.

• Day 2: San José - Pacuare River

  Today you will travel through dense rainforests that surround the Pacuare River, take a raft or hanging gondola to cross the scenic river, and then take a short hike to the hotel nestled in the most remarkable setting. With its unparalleled location and vibrant nature, this luxury eco-hotel hidden in the dense rainforest is a perfect base for adventure, romance, and wellness.

• Day 3: Pacuare River

  Be awakened by the sweet melody created by the gurgling water and tropical birds, enjoy a well-content breakfast with ingredients mainly originating from Pacuare Lodge's farm, and then take zip lines (canopy tour) gliding over the treetops to enjoy the oncoming beauty of the rainforest.

  The remaining time of today is at leisure for you to discover the other charms of Pacuare River or pick out another one from the colorful optional activities offered by the hotel, such as the Cabécar indigenous hike, bird watching tour, rural experience to the community of Bajo del Tigre, and the sustainable tour that will give you true examples of how simple actions can support our planet.

• Day 4: Pacuare River - Arenal Volcano

  Today's rafting journey is full of adventure. A professional guide and the right equipment will be waiting for you to ride the waves on the wild and scenic Pacuare River. Of course, before it, there will be some safety instructions.

  During it, you will pass through some picturesque canyons with rapid waterfalls plummeting down, stop to explore side streams that lead to the striking waterfalls or even swim in a crystal-clear pool. A picnic lunch will be served along the river. After this incredible rafting experience, you can change into dry clothes before heading to the drop-off point and continuing with a private land transfer towards La Fortuna Village where the mighty Arenal Volcano will welcome you. On the way, you will pass through different towns, enjoy beautiful rural sceneries, and get known of the local cash crops.

• Day 5: Arenal Volcano

  Featuring a private plunge pool fed by a natural mineral hot spring, modern amenities, and unparalleled surroundings, the luxury villa produces a romantic experience for every visitor here.

  Today is a leisure day with numerous optional tours for your choice. The most recommended one is the hiking tour to la Fortuna Waterfall with chances to encounter some cute wildlife on the way and swim in the natural pool beneath the waterfall.

• Day 6: Arenal Volcano

  It is another leisure day for your arrangement. Many other outdoor activities are waiting for you, but you may prefer a cultural experience, such as a cooking class or chocolate tour.

  With the cooking tour, you will visit Mr. Scott Alan's kitchen with amazing window views of the Arenal Volcano and follow him to unlock the recipe of typical Costa Rica cuisine. You can even learn to prepare one of the classic Caribbean cocktails.

  Taking the chocolate tour, you will learn about the stages of chocolate production from seeds to cup, including the history and culture behind it, as well as make and enjoy a cup of traditional hot chocolate.

• Day 7: Arenal Volcano - San José - Departure

  Your amazing Coast Rica holiday ends today. After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the international airport of San Jose for your departure flight back home. It will take about three hours on the road, so please book your return flight that departs no earlier than mid-day.
