Beijing welcomes you! Upon arrival at the airport, you can take the airport bus or a taxi to your downtown hotel at your own pace. The rest of the day is yours to explore the surrounding area or visit any spots that interest you.

Today starts with the iconic landmark of Tiananmen Square, then step into the majestic Forbidden City, the former imperial palace that reveals centuries of dynastic glory through its grand halls, tranquil courtyards, and exquisite details.
Afterwards, together with your guide, weaving through the hutongs for a deeper touch of old Beijing. You'll explore the traditional courtyard residences once home to notable figures of the past, and savor local culture with drinks as you enjoy a Peking Opera performance. End your day with a leisurely stroll along Dingfu Street, where narrow alleys and hidden corners unfold the charm of history and everyday life.

This morning, drive about 2 hours to Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Area. Compared to the more famous Badaling Section, Mutianyu Great Wall is less crowded. It is known for scenic beauty, with dense watchtowers nestled in lush vegetation and well-paced climb suitable for most people.
On the way back to the city in the late afternoon, you'll pass by the Olympic Bird Nest and Water Cube and visit a pearl store nearby.

A morning visit to a Beijing local market is a feast for the senses. The sight and smell of freshly steamed buns with various fillings and the enticing steam rising from street food stalls are reason enough to come. Besides, you'll find a colorful display of seasonal produce and experience authentic local life.
Next, visit the Temple of Heaven, another iconic Beijing landmark. Once an imperial altar where emperors prayed for good harvests, it's now a beloved park for locals. You'll see people practicing tai chi, playing traditional instruments, and even writing calligraphy on the pavement with water.
You'll then head to the railway station to board the high-speed train to Xi'an. Upon arrival, your local guide will meet you at the station and transfer you to your hotel for smooth check-in.

Today, visit the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum to see the awe-inspiring Terracotta Warriors. These life-sized figures stand as a powerful testament to the advanced technology and manufacturing prowess of the Qin Dynasty. Walk among the ranks of this subterranean battle formation that slept for over two thousand years, you'll witness firsthand the epic of the Qin Dynasty told through clay and bronze.
After the tour, return to the city and visit the Muslim Quarter. In addition to its unique architecture, the street is lined with diverse food stalls, offering a feast for your taste buds.

After breakfast, head to the airport for a 2.5-hour flight to Shanghai. On arrival, meet your guide and you'll be accompanied to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the lively city.

Your city tour today begins at the iconic Bund, tracing the skyline of colonial-era architecture that shaped the city's global identity. Then, step into a different world at the classical Yu Garden and its lively bazaar, where you can observe traditional silk craftsmanship.
Continue to see Shanghai's unique cultural fusion at Fuxing Park, a serene French-style garden buzzing with local life. Then, lose yourself in the heart of the city with a guided walk through the historic Bugaoli neighborhood. Here, you'll sample authentic street snacks and listen to captivating stories that bring old Shanghai to life.
The day ends with an afternoon at the Shanghai Museum, which offers a perfect introduction to ancient Chinese art.
