Day 1: Arrival, Paro - Thimphu (About 1.5 Hours' Drive)
Upon your arrival at Paro airport, your guide will meet you and transfer you to Thimphu with the private driver. On the way, stop for photo opportunities when passing by the Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge.
After checking into your hotel in Thimphu, set off to the Buddha Dordenma Statue. Continue to the Motithang Takin Preserve where you can see Takin, Bhutan's national animal which only exists here and has a sheep's head and buffalo's body. Later, visit Zilukha Nunnery, Bhutan Post Office Headquarters and Thimphu Dzong (Tashichho Dzong).
Note: The government section of Thimphu Dzong opens after 5:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays.

Day 2: Thimphu - Punakha (3 Hours' Drive)
In the morning, take a drive to Punakha. You will stop at the Dochula Pass which offers a stunning panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain ranges. Visit the tranquil 108 chortens also known as Druk Wangyal Chortens. Move to the Chimi Lhakhang which attracts many childless women to receive a blessing from the saint. Admire the most beautiful dzong in Bhutan, Punakha Dzong, which is at the confluence of the Mo Chhu River and Puna Tsang Chu River with a wooden cantilever bridge across the river.

Day 3: Punakha - Paro (4 Hours' Drive)
Today, drive back to Paro and explore Paro Dzong, Ta Dzong. A short drive will take you to the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan's oldest temples and one of the most charming spots in the Paro Valley. After that, head to a local farm house for an unforgettable visit and talk with the friendly local people. You will have chance to taste some homemade wine.

Day 4: Paro
Today, you will do some trekking to the famous Tiger's Nest (Paro Taktsang) situated 900 meters above the Paro Valley. The climbing may require some physical strength, but it's worth it when you stand high and view the temple's splendid location and take in its holiness. After the tour, be transferred to the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong where you also can take some great photos with the gorgeous backdrop of Chomolhari Mountain.

Day 5: Paro, Departure
The morning is at your leisure until your guide comes to meet you and escort you to the airport for your departure flight.
