Morocco and Spain Tour

Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrival, Casablanca - Rabat

  Upon your arrival in Casablanca, your private English-speaking driver will pick you up at the exit of the airport and transfer you to your accommodation in Rabat. The remaining time can be spent at leisure.

• Day 2: Rabat - Fez

  Kick off the day with a sightseeing tour of this imperial city, including the "new town" (built at the beginning of the French protectorate in Morocco), the Kasbah of the Udayas, the Botanical Testing Garden, the medina ramparts and Almohad gates, the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and Habous neighborhood near Diour Jamaa.

  Later, depart via the Highway to Fez (about two hours) for the night.

• Day 3: Fez

  As the cultural and spiritual center of Morocco, Fez is worthy of a guided tour. Roaming around the ancient Fez Medina, you will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, spices, and various art objects. Enjoy a historical tour of the UNESCO site, where the world's oldest university, the University of Al Quaraouiyine, is located. Also here are the El-Attarine Medersa and Bou Inania Medersa.

• Day 4: Fez - Chefchaouen, Visit Ruins of Volubilis En-route

  Leave Fez behind for the blue city of Chefchaouen, which takes about five hours by car. En route, stop at Volubilis to discover its ancient Roman ruins. Even the remaining structures like columns can give you a glimpse of the glory of the ancient Roman Empire. Another stop point is the important pilgrimage town Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, where Moulay Idriss, the founder of Morocco's first Islamic dynasty, is buried.

• Day 5: Chefchaouen - Tetouan - Tangier

  Wake up early and stroll around the Outa-el-Hammam, the cobblestone medina, and the Grand Mosque of Chefchaouen to take in the enchantment of this blue city.

  After the tour, you will pass through Tetouan to Tangier. In Tetouan, enjoy a short city tour to see three different architectural styles: the Andalusian style, the Spanish style of the early and mid-twentieth century, and the post-independence style. Check into your hotel after arrival and have the rest of the day at leisure.

• Day 6: Tangier

  Today, your driver will take you along the beach to take in the history and landscape of Tangier. The tour will include the Kasbah, the Tomb of Ibn Battuta, the Teatro Cervantes, the Grand Socco, the Tangier American Legation Museum, and the Kasbah Museum.

  After a half-day sightseeing, the afternoon will be left for you to explore further on your own.

• Day 7: Tangier - Algeciras - Seville

  Bid farewell to Morocco and journey to Spain via the Gibraltar Strait ferry boat.

  Upon arriving in Algeciras, your private driver will greet you and escort you to your hotel in Seville. The rest of the day is free for you to explore this ancient city.

• Day 8: Seville

  Seville is a large and well-preserved historical center stretching back 2,200 years. You will have a half-day guided private walking tour, visiting the Cathedral, the Giralda, the Alcazar of Seville, and the Santa Cruz Quarter.

  After that, spend some time exploring on your own.

• Day 9: Seville - Cordoba

  Take a high-speed train to Cordoba by yourself.

  Upon arrival, find your way to your accommodation for check-in. After a short break, meet a local tour guide at the hotel lobby and start a private walking tour including the Islamic monument Cathedral-Mosque, the Roman Bridge, the Old Quarter, and the oldest Alcazar.

• Day 10: Cordoba - Granada

  The journey toward Granada by train.

  Upon arrival, you will enjoy a private guided walking tour to take in its Islamic architecture and Arabic daily life. During the tour, you will explore its central area, seeing the Cathedral, the Royal Chapel, the Alcaiceria, and so on.

  Enjoy a half-day guided walking tour in a UNESCO site, consisting of the Alhambra and Generalife Gardens. The former is the most important existing building of Muslim civil architecture, while the latter belongs to the country residence of the Nasrid king. After the tour, the rest of the day is free for leisure.

  After breakfast, make your way to the railway station for your train to Madrid. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the remaining time at leisure.

  Enjoy a private walking tour today, which will guide you through the history of old Madrid. During the tour, you will see attractions including the Neptune Fountain, the Puerta del Sol, the Plaza Mayor, the Mercado de San Miguel, the former City Hall, the Royal Palace, and the Royal Opera House. After that, appreciate rich art collections in the Prado Museum.

  Today, you will have a full-day excursion to Toledo by private car.

  Once here, enjoy a guided walking tour to explore this charming city, including Santa Maria La Blanca Synagogue, Santo Tome's Church, the Gothic Cathedral, and Cristo de la Luz Mosque. After the tour, get back to the hotel in Madrid.
