About This Trip
This tour combines a historical discovery in Egypt with a wildlife safari in Kenya. You'll stroll around Cairo city, visit the Egyptian Museum, and marvel at the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Sphinx. Then, you'll enjoy a Nile River Cruise from Aswan to Luxor. You'll explore ancient temples and tombs along the riverside, such as the Valley of the Kings and the Luxor Temple. Day 1: Arrival, Cairo
Welcome to Cairo, the capital of Egypt! When your flight lands at the airport, our representative will assist you with the customs process and introduce you to your private driver, who will take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours at leisure.

Day 2: Cairo
Ancient Egypt is often associated with the mysterious pyramids. Today your private guide will show you the most important monuments in ancient Egypt. First, pay a visit to Memphis, the capital of ancient Egypt. Next, head to Saqqara for the earliest pyramid called the Step Pyramid. Finally, observe the most iconic Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx.

Day 3: Cairo
After breakfast, you will have a deeper understanding of ancient Egypt through the magnificent collections in the Egyptian Museum. Later, move to Old Cairo to take in the medieval Islamic-era architecture of the Citadel of Salah El-Din. On the summit of this citadel, you will find the Mohammed Ali Mosque. After that, relax with a leisurely walk around the Khan El Khalili Bazaar.

Day 4: Cairo - Aswan, Nile Cruise
Today, take a morning flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, your private driver will transfer you to your Nile Cruise. This ship will cruise along the Nile River from Aswan to Luxor, offering a relaxing way to explore the ancient attractions along the Nile.
After checking into your cabin, disembark for a private guided tour to the High Dam and the Temple of Philae. In the afternoon, take a traditional, non-motorized felucca sailing on the Nile. And then step ashore on Kitchener's Island and enjoy some leisure time in the Botanical Garden.

Day 5: Nile Cruise
When the cruise reaches Kom Ombo, disembark for the Greco-Roman Sobek Temple, a twin temple built on a high dune overlooking the Nile. Your ship will make a stop at Edfu, where the Temple of Horus is located. This is the second-largest temple in Egypt, and also known as the Temple of Edfu.

Day 6: Nile Cruise
Your cruise will sail Luxor today, which is known as the world's greatest open-air museum with lots of historical tombs, museums, monuments, and temples. Disembark to the west bank for some of its archaeological sites. The first stop is the Valley of the Kings where you can visit the tombs of the ancient Pharaohs. After visiting the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, take memorable pictures of the huge Colossi of Memnon.

Day 7: Luxor - Cairo - Nairobi
Your Nile cruise will finish today. After breakfast, enjoy a visit to the Temples of Karnak and Luxor Temple on the east bank. You will be accompanied by your private guide passing through the important parts of the temples and marveling at the majestic architecture.
After the tour, fly to Cairo to board your red-eye flight to Nairobi. Stay overnight on the plane.

Day 8: Nairobi, Free Day
Upon arrival at Nairobi in the early morning, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a rest.
Wake up from the call of nature and recharge your battery on a free day. If you feel energetic, you may take an optional half-day tour (about 5 hours), including a visit to Giraffe Center, Elephant Orphanage, and Karen Blixen.

Day 9: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National Park - Lake Naivasha
This morning, proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park in the Great Rift Valley. It's home to millions of flamingos, as well as some rare animal species like the white rhino, black rhino, and Rothschild giraffe. Upon arrival, have lunch at the lodge and then enjoy a late afternoon safari.
After the safari, head to the Lake Naivasha area for a restful overnight.

Day 10: Lake Naivasha - Maasai Mara National Park
This morning, you will depart for the world-famous Maasai Mara National Park (around 5 hours), where the Wildebeest Migration (one of the Seven New Wonders of the World) takes place every year. After enjoying your lunch box, start a late afternoon safari in this vast park.

Maasai Mara National Park is worth a full-day exploration. The morning and late afternoon safaris will give you the opportunity to explore the flourishing wildlife, especially the Big Five.

Day 12: Masai Mara National Park - Nairobi, Departure
After breakfast, drive about 5 hours back to Nairobi. It is time to say goodbye to Kenya and board your homebound flight.
